William Bowers Bourne II owned the The Empire Mine (gold) in Grass Valley, with partners built the Greystone Cellars in Napa Valley and was a principal in the Spring Valley Water Company, which supplied water to San Francisco. He and his wife Agnes built Filoli, a large estate in Woodside, California, now open to the public. Scarce title.
