ORIGINAL POSTER: LINDBERGH BABY KIDNAP WANTED POSTER

Trenton, New Jersey: New Jersey State Police, 1932. First Edition. This is an ORIGINAL Lindbergh Baby Wanted poster. Illustrated from two photographs of the Lindbergh baby. 9 1/2" x 16". Description of infant. Issued by Col. H. Norman Schwarzkopf (Father of General Norman "Desert Storm" Schwarzkopf). On March 1, 1932, the infant son of aviator/hero Col. Charles Lindbergh and Anne Morrow Lindbergh was kidnapped from his home in East Amwell, New Jersey. These posters were generated and distributed on March 11, 1932. On May 12, the body of baby Lindbergh was discovered. Bruno Richard Hauptman was convicted of the crime in 1935. These Wanted posters were principally folded and mailed. In its found condition, this copy had taped splits at the fold lines, moisture damage and some holes. All of this was archivally repaired by the artisans at dba Innis Archives, leaving the poster in its best found condition, sometimes described as "farm fresh" and preferred by many collectors. Very Good overall, and now in a 4 mil clear mylar protective folder. Certainly suitable for framing. FREE SHIPPING to any United States address. Very Good / Clear 4 mil mylar folder. Item #1950
