ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPH: W. C. FIELDS DRINKING MILK ON THE SET OF "THE BIG BROADCAST OF 1938"

Hollywood: Paramount Pictures, 1938. First Edition. This is an ORIGINAL photograph of W. C. Fields, seated in a director's chair, purportedly drinking milk from a bottle while making the movie "THE BIG BROADCAST OF 1938" for Paramount Pictures. 8" x 10" Black & white. Glossy finish. Deluxe heavyweight paper stock. Limit marks in pencil on recto for publication. (Additional publication instructions in pencil on verso.) Typwritten snipe on verso says, "TWO QUARTS A DAY---Yes sir, that's Bill Field's (sic) daily consumption of liquid stimulant as he labors away at his chores in Paramount's "The Big Broadcast of 1938." Milk it is, and take it from Bill, it's more of a duty than a delight." It is noted that the level of milk in the bottle makes it clear that Fields is merely holding the bottle rather than drinking from it. In addition, his other hand holds a cigar at the ready. Other than the aforementioned pencil marks, the photograph is in Near Fine condition (some rubbing and edgewear from handling), and is now in a 4-mil clear mylar protective envelope. FREE SHIPPING. Near Fine / 4-mil clear mylar envelope. Item #2073
