New York: American Committee for Armenian and Syrian Relief, 1917. First Edition. This is an ORIGINAL World War One poster, usually called "THE CHILD AT YOUR DOOR". Lithograph. Expertly linen-backed by the artisans at Innis Archive, the poster measures 13 3/4"x 20 1/4" with a 2" white linen-backed border. The prominent illustration is from a charcoal drawing of a troubled child. The artist is unknown, but there is a small artist monogram symbol in the lower right hand corner of the drawing. The American Committee for Armenian and Syrian Relief (later, renamed The American Committee for Relief in the Near East) issued this poster seeking to raise money in Baltimore, Maryland, for "400,000 Orphans Starving" with "No State Aid Available" in "Armenia-Greece-Syria-Persia" In Near Fine condition with expert linen-backing.
