Cloth. 142 pp. SIGNED/INSCRIBED by George Sterling in ink on a front free endpaper, "To Harriette Cady, from her affectionate cousin, George Sterling, San Francisco, Jan. 7th, 1904.". Harriette Cady was a concert pianist. Black cloth. 5 3/8" x 7 3/4". Top edge gilt. Front cover and spine titling. This was Sterling's first book. Poet/Playwright George Sterling (1869-1926) was a resident member of early Carmel's bohemian group and a friend of Jack London, Mary Austin and Robinson Jeffers.
