From the successful play by Maxwell Anderson and Laurence Stallings. The photograph is signed in the print "Autrey", referring to still photographer Max Munn Autrey. During World War One, salty United States Marine Corps' Sgt. Quirt and Captain Flagg fight over the affections of the lovely Charmaine when they are not fighting the enemy. Eighteen of the extras who played Marines were actual veterans of the battle of Belleau Wood. Penciled notes, stamped numbers and a bit of tape on the verso.
