San Francisco: Family Dog Productions, 1967. First Edition. This is an ORIGINAL FIRST PRINTING of a poster for a concert at San Franisco's Avalon Ballroom on August 24-27, 1967. Featuring Big Brother and the Holding Company (with Janis Joplin), Bo Diddley, Bukka White and Salvation Army Banned. This is the first printing of this poster, before the concert, with a glossy finish and measuring 13 1/2"x 20". The artist was BOB FRIED. This concert followed the band's appearance at the Monterey Pop Festival in June, 1967 where Clive Davis first heard Janis Joplin, and arranged for Big Brother to sign with Columbia Records. Janis Joplin left the band in December, 1968.The poster is in Near Fine condition (slightly rubbed from handling). FREE SHIPPING to any United States address. Item #2607
