Variously described today as "camp", "black comedy", "satire" and "spoof", "Beat The Devil" was originally advertised as a Bogart adventure-crime movie, as reflected in the advertisements and campaigns described in this pressbook. The film has become a cult classic, its hilariojus dialogue, by Huston and Capote, often committed to memory by devoted fans.
