CIRCA 1900 / ORIGINAL TWO (2) ATTACHED CALLING CARDS /NEWLY MARRIED WOMAN/ UNIQUE

Circa 1900. These are two (2) ORIGINAL calling cards, held together by a white hand-tied ribbon, uniquely and wonderfully announcing that "Miss Lillie Livingston" has married and become "Mrs. E. W. Sichel". Heavy cream card stock. The joined cards together measure 3 1/2" x 4 1/4". They were found among the accumulated ephemera of a pioneer Nevada City family. Leaving calling cards was practiced from the 18th to the early 20th century. A charming gloss on a common social practice. Fine, and now in a clear 4mil mylar proective envelope. Fine. Item #3049
