Illustrated dust jacket. Red Cloth. 5 1/2" x 8". This is a wartime report based upon Ella Winter's six months in the Soviet Union in 1944 as a correspondent for the New York Post. Ella Winter (1898-1980) was a journalist and left-wing activist. She was married to Lincoln Steffens and lived with him in Carmel, California. After Steffens death in 1936, she maried screenwwriter and humorist Donald Ogden Stewart. A Fine copy in a Near Fine dust jacket (slight edgewear at the spine-ends), now in a clear mylar protective sleeve. Fine / Near Fine. Item #3116
